EN 13463-1

The European standard for non-electrical equipment for potentially explosive atmospheres, defines risks and precautions related for example to static electricity and other sources of ignitions in areas where explosive atmosphere is or can be present. It takes into account aspects not covered by the EN 14125, and as such it is of great importance for the safety and security in the petrol station industry.

KPS Conductive pipes are the only pipes approved to EN 13463-1, as these pipes can be grounded to earth and thus eliminate all static electricity that occurs when fuel flows through a plastic pipe. (For more information, see our section about static electricity).
