German Approval

KPS is the only supplier of plastic petrol pipes to be approved for use in Germany.

In 2010 KPS conductive double wall pipes were approved by the German institute DIBt. Germany has a so called A-deviation to the EN 14125 standard, which means they have demanded the right to use tougher restrictions on one or several aspects of the pipe in order to be used in Germany. One of the main reasons for the tougher requirements in Germany are the water protection laws in the country. Also Austria has an A-deviation to the EN 14125.

The German rules stipulate zero permeation, compared to 0,2 g/m2/day in the EN 14125. Although seemingly small a difference, the technical consequences for a plastic pipe are considerable, and today only KPS conductive petrol pipes can achieve the zero permeation.

The German approval of KPS conductive pipes is the result of a lot of work with German authorities over a long time to improve, test and verify our pipes' performance according to these very strict demands.
