Petrol Pipe Installer Training
Certified KPS petrol pipe installers undergo a 2 day training with practical and theoretical tests before they can receive their certification. We use the same training material in all countries and all installers are certified to the same criteria. A certified KPS installer is an installer you can trust. Every year a number of installers fail on either the practical or theoretical test and have to be re-trained before they can attempt the tests again. Our trainers have clear directives to be strict with who they certify.
After training the installers have the option of having their trainer come on site to support them during their first installation.
The KPS certification is valid for 2 years after which the installers are re-certified after a 1 day training where we refresh the basics and cover any new installation practices and products that have been added.
The basic petrol pipe installer training covers:
- The petrol piping system overview
- Safety
- Handling and storage of products
- Preparing for a good installation
- Pipe arrangement
- Joining pipes (electrofusion welding)
- Entry seals
- End-point connections
- Pressure and tightness test
- Static electricity, conductive pipes and conductivity testing
- Completing the installation (backfill and documentation)
- Modification & repair basics

LPG Pipe Installer Training
Certified LPG pipe installers take a 1 day training with practical exercises and a theoretical test before they are certified. The trainer will then assist the installers when they install their first plastic pipe LPG station. As with the petrol pipe installer certification, standardized material, authorized trainers and clearly specified certification criteria are used on all markets.
Tailor-made Training
We also run tailor-made training for design engineers and oil company representatives that wish to understand plastic piping better or learn about static electricity issues.
